Jaap Marsman is an international educator, specialising in safeguarding, wellbeing and student support services. He values a strengths-based, contextual approach to help all learners thrive.

Jaap has been working in education for over twenty years, first within the national system in the Netherlands and then shifting into international education abroad and currently works in Hong Kong. His research interests are in international education and its related aspects of mental health, wellbeing, mobility, multilingualism, safeguarding and student support.

Having earned a Bachelor of Education in 2003 and a Master of Education in 2012, Jaap is currently writing his dissertation towards completing a Master of Science in Psychology through the University of Glasgow.
