Rich is in his third year as Middle Sschool Principal. Born and raised in Northern California, he started his educational career as a high school history teacher. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of California at Santa Barbara, Teaching Degree from Dominican College of San Rafael, and Masters in Education from San Francisco State University.

In addition to 11 years of teaching and administration in the USA, Rich has served as an administrator in Seoul (Korea International School/4 yrs), Singapore (United World College of Southeast Asia/8yrs), and Barcelona (Benjamin Franklin International School/3yrs). Outside of education, his interests include sports, music and travel. He describes Muscat as a wonderful place to live due to the kindness of Omanis and incredible natural beauty of the region.
