Benjamin Sheridan
Elementary Principal, The American School of Kinshasa & Director of Learning for 407 Learning
Benjamin Sheridan is the Elementary Principal at the American School of Kinshasa & Director of Learning for 407 Learning. With over 20 years of education experience and 18 years in Asian P-12 schools, he specializes in supporting schools to design and implement professional learning and digital strategy programs. Benjamin’s expertise includes successful 1:1 device implementation, learning management systems adoption, and professional learning programmatic development and implementation. He holds certifications as a US-certified principal, Apple Distinguished Educator, and Apple Professional Learning Specialist. Most recently, he completed a fellowship at What School Could Be to co-design and co-lead the Leadership For Deeper Learning Academy certificate program.
Throughout his career, Benjamin has served as a classroom teacher, learning innovation coach, technology coordinator, instructional designer, and university lecturer. He taught undergraduate and master’s level courses in educational technology and design thinking. Benjamin is deeply committed to building professional learning experiences that blend effective pedagogy with innovative technology, promoting accelerated learning. Benjamin utilizes technology to enhance learning, motivate and engage participants, and empower them to drive their learning journeys. As a lifelong student, Benjamin is pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at the University of Kentucky. He frequently presents and speaks at educational conferences and symposiums worldwide.
