Whole School Approaches to Social and Emotional Learning
This is a 2.5hr Deep Dive Workshop
This interactive session is tailored for international school leaders aiming to embed Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) across their entire school ecosystem. Participants will delve into the International SEL (ISEL) Framework, exploring its alignment with various educational standards, including the International Baccalaureate (IB) Approaches to Learning (ATLs) and the CASEL Framework. Through collaborative discussions and practical activities, leaders will learn how to integrate SEL into school culture, curriculum, and community engagement, ensuring a cohesive and inclusive approach that resonates with diverse student populations.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the core components of the ISEL Framework and its relevance to international education settings.
- Identify strategies to integrate SEL into school policies, curricula, and daily practices.
- Develop an action plan for implementing a whole-school SEL approach, considering cultural responsiveness and inclusivity.
- Engage stakeholders—students, staff, and families—in fostering a supportive SEL environment.
